Bring Back Louisiana Launches Vaccination Events in Top 9 Communities | health department

Automated calls recorded by regional medical directors are sent to all landlines in all public health regions, encouraging residents to call our COVID vaccine hotline to ask questions and get the facts about COVID vaccines.

Residents can also call the COVID Vaccine hotline for information on where to get a vaccine, get help making an appointment, and have their questions answered by a healthcare professional.

The hotline number is 1-855-453-0774. Residents can call 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday. To date, the hotline has received 1,798 calls and scheduled 641 meetings.

The Bring Back Louisiana campaign sent out nearly 105,000 direct mail to publicize upcoming events. This included 57,522 senders who went to households in Baton Rouge and those in surrounding communities to support the ongoing vaccination site at the Bon Carré business center.

Bringing back Louisiana and the statewide rollout of COVID vaccines by the Louisiana Department of Health reflects an urgent effort to get ahead of variants of the virus, which are highly transmissible and are currently spreading across the country and state. COVID vaccines are our way to end the pandemic, and together we can protect our loved ones and bring back the Louisiana we know and love

You can see the location of each vaccination event in the 9 public health regions in the graph below.
