Dillon Geshel says if you had asked him a few months ago he would have told you that he planned to be at the Portage Lake District Library forever. Instead, the organization’s single page and light fixture helps plan a leadership transition, as they prepare to embark on a new opportunity of their own.
Geshel says he accepted a job at the Superiorland Library Cooperative in Marquette. He explains its role and the benefits it provides to UP libraries, including Portage Lake.
Geshel says the cooperative is particularly important in helping with technological change.
He has about a month left in Geshel at the Portage Lake District Library. He says there’s still time to check out the Rad Academy classes offered at Houghton Skate Park. Geshel is one of the main instructors of this program.
