STEAM Time: Recycled Rockets
Monday, August 1 at 5:30 p.m.

Participate in a hands-on STEAM project or activity. Today, the focus is on recycled rockets. Learn about energy conservation with this fun pedal rocket project using recycled materials and a few household items.

Participants wishing to follow the activity at home will need the following supplies:

  • Juice pouch (like Capri sun; any brand will work)
  • Regular size straws (all kinds, bendable or straight)
  • Card stock (empty cereal box or heavy junk)
  • Heavy-duty tape (like duct tape) or hot glue

Monday August 15 at 6:30 p.m.

Our back-to-school adventure begins with your own choices on this interactive journey through Library World. A friendly and knowledgeable guide will ensure children and family leave with the knowledge and enthusiasm to make the most of the library resources available for fun, education and continued adventure. Technical Topics: Book Mixes with NoveList Plus
Wednesday August 17 at 5:30 p.m.

Explore a variety of technology concepts and skills. Today’s topic is book mixing with NoveList Plus.

Storytime with ZooTampa: Senses in Nature
Thursday, August 18 at 10 a.m.

Stories, action rhymes, songs and interactive online activities make up this special program that combines an animal experience with highlighting early literacy skills and encourages reading readiness and social interaction.
